CS349D: Project Information

Proposal

Your project proposal should be 2-3 pages long (single column, minimum 10pt font size). The proposal should include the following information:

Upload a single proposal per team to Gradescope. The deadline is April 17th.

Midterm Review

In preparation of your meeting with the instructors to review progress and issues with your project, please prepare and submit a slide presentation of no more than 3 slides (Google Slides, PPT, or PDF) that includes the following information:

Upload a single presentation per team to Gradescope. The deadline is May 15th.

Final Presentations

Please use this sheet to signup for a slot for the CS349D presentations. Your presentation slot is 15min but we strongly suggest you prepare for a 10-12min presentation and leave time for questions. We will strictly enforce time, so please practice!
We suggest the following outline for your talk:

Feel free to deviate from this outline, but make sure you stick to the main points (and do not try to cover all your results). You can choose to have a single team member give the talk or have multiple members alternate. Please upload your slides to Gradescope. Note: the presentation is not the final deliverable of your project. It is a way to get feedback on important issues you should address in your report. Thus, we suggest not shying away from the Monday slot!

Final Reports

Upload a 5-6 page project report by June 12th at 6:30PM PT to Gradescope. We strongly encourage earlier submissions if possible, especially if you are graduating! We recommend using the ACM SIGPLAN template, but any sane single-spaced, two-column layout will be accepted. Though you can adjust as needed, we recommend the following report structure:
